Everton Game Tickets 10:34 - Apr 17 with 2117 viewsSaintNick

Not a joke this time, but I would imagine that the announcement will be made after the weekend, when they know which fixtures are available for TV and which will be cancelled as the two teams are in the FA Cup Final.

Absolute piss take how late they've left this announcement, train prices are already looking expensive and if it goes to a monday night it's going to need time off work.

The cynic in me does also wonder if it's in Everton's favour for it to be delayed as it might mean we take a lower allocation

How’s it in Everton’s favour?
They could play 10 men and a rush goalkeeper and still beat us.😂

Even if it stays on the Sunday at 3.00pm it's near on impossible to do on the train from Southampton and back in a day, certainly with no time to go to the boozer.

It's all down to Sky, rumour is Sky are pushing for 20:00 on Monday night, plus Everton are trying to get Saints to accept a reduced allocation, I've booked two nights in a Hotel (free cancellation) but as stated Train fares are going up

In their favour in terms of tickets going to their fans not ours, no team needs any more favours on the pitch we give them enough already

It’s confirmed as a 12 noon kick off. If any of you can’t go, please let me know. I’ve got a season ticket but my nephew hasn’t. He’s been to 18 home games but not guaranteed to get one.

Yep, so anyone buying a ticket, COULD be asked to collect their ticket from Goodison Park with ID, to reduce the risk of it being sold on. There are Everton fans on social.media offering over a thousand pounds for a ticket. If you buy a ticket and sell it to an Everton fan you could be in big trouble as both clubs know about the goings on! And you would have to travel all the way to the ground, to then pass it on if that was anyones intention. I think it's a good idea. It would be a big security risk, if loads of Everton fans were in the away end.

I'd agree with that. It may be a PITA, but tickets for that game for the scousers would be gold dust, and you never know, we could do as we did at Maine Road all those years ago (or am I dreaming again)

I don’t understand why Saints have taken the full allocation. I can only think of one occasion when they have sold out all three tiers (when Saints were under Hughes towards the end of the season). Hopefully they will sell the paddock and the lower bullens first and send the rest back.

It's because not only is it the final away game of the season (the last away game is always popular regardless of who we play), but many Saints fans also want to witness the occasion. We will easily sell out this allocation. This year, we have sold out every away game that I can remember, 3000 yesterday at West Ham, 3000 at Newcastle on the opening day, 3000 at Spurs, 3000 at Liverpool, 3000 at both Manchester clubs. I can't think if a game we haven't sold out. So why wouldnt we take the full allocation? Admittedly, Everton is usually one of the least popular, but this year being the final away game, and also the final game at Goodison, it will be popular. I probably wouldn't normally go up there for a 12pm kick off, but I will be going to this one.

The 12pm kick off is a shocker for Saints fans, I’m making a few days of it, but you lot will have to set off at silly o’clock just for the TV. The pubs will be open at 9am though which is good.

We didn’t sell out Man U this season and took reduced allocation of 2400 in the end, but it was a Thursday night. Leicester as well in a couple of weeks; 3300 allocation initially, but that’s been reduced to something like 2300 after initial slow sales. Apart from those two though, every other game has been sold out with maximum allocation - unheard of for Saints.

ST is right; our normal away following at Everton is atrocious and is without doubt our worst ground we regularly travel to in terms of numbers and probably results as well tbf! Even when we needed a win right at the end of the season when Hughes was in charge, we took the 3000 but didn’t sell it out. First time I’d ever been in the upper tier and there were loads of empties.

I can of course understand Saints fans wanting to jump on the bandwagon this time round and it’s their entitlement to do so. I get why Everton fans are pissed off too, but it’s fair do’s I’m afraid. Knowing we were the final home game, perhaps EFC could have agreed a reciprocal reduced allocation with us earlier in the season?
