Made me think about when I"ve done it over the years
QPR a couple of times
Millwall a couple of times, first time was when we drew, Lambert put us 1 up in injury time then Trotter equalised pretty much straight from the kick off and it was pretty much the last kick of the game
Tottenham
Arsenal, about 87, stood on the North Bank with my old man, his pal and lad. Last time we won there in the league, Danny Wallace scored
Never had any issues as ive kept myself to myself. The Upper West Stand at Millwall was quite an experience |  |

Last time I went to QPR was a couple of seasons ago when we won 1-0, they had a corner right at the end an I was expecting the inevitable equaliser and trying to work out how to react, thankfully they didn't, Captain Jack blocked it on the line and got sparked out | |

I've never done it as I would hate to sit there in silence. If away fans show respect, keep quiet and just watch the game, I can tolerate it. I also can tolerate proper fans, who couldn't get tickets in the away end and are respectful, loyal fans of their local club. But any Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea plastics, with southern accents, I want them chucked out regardless. They are basically stealing a seat that should be for a Saints fan. Support your local club, stop using our ground for tickets and get out. Just watch this to see what glory hunting plastics are like. They celebrated like crazy when Arsenal.scored in the Everton away end.

We did to to Arsenal - and it can go wrong - 1995 - 2 of us in the North Bank, after getting tickets off a tout outside. Arsenal had been rubbish and it looked like Bergkamp was never going to score for them after about 8 or so games then he got 2 against us. We felt brave enough to clap our goal and were man handled from our seats. We escaped, but hid at the bar in the concourse for the second half.
It can work out though - Went to Villa Park, probably late 90's, right near the end of the season., possibly last game. Saints had the end lower tier, and we managed to get sets in their home dugout side stand as close to our end as possible. There were 4 of us together, got a bit of grief from some lads sat behind, but by the last 20 mins and we had scored, there appeared to be well over a hundred other Saints in there as we all and we all rose to join in with O when the Saints.
Some times, it can work out OK

Norwich away in 94/5. Got a ticket from a mate who was playing for Norwich and had to sit with their players and families. We threw away a 2-0 lead and they took the piss
Liverpool away in 97/8. We won 3-2 and and gone 3-1 up with 2 goals in the last 5 minutes. Me and my mate were restrained but when the scousers were passing around a hip flask at the end, they offered it to me and said "Have some whisky to celebrate your win". Fair play to them |  | | |

West Ham, last ever game at Upton Park, 3-3, 4 of us couldn't get Saints end tickets,
so took a chance as North Bank home end was pay on the day.
Kept quiet, sometimes it's best to use your brain, and sent off a voucher giving out at turnstile which gave me a certificate saying I was a loyal WHU supporter attending the last ever game at Upton Park

Had to do it a few times over the years
At Luton when they banned away fans got in every time that Saints played there, thanks to a friend of a friend, a Newcastle fan, from Dunstable
Also did when White Hart Lane being redeveloped back in the 90’s.
Also done hospitality at Aston Villa and Peterborough, and seat in director’s box at Charlton when we got stuffed 5-0.
My favourite one was at St James Park, when Alan Ball had just taken over and due to redevelopment away fans were banned, but got tickets for Gallowgate end, and had to restrain myself as Matty hit a superb free kick past Hooper to win the game for us. |  | | |

Bournemouth away got tickets off a mate in the home end which was all I could get. I sat with an another mate who I always felt was a bit of a nutter and I sort of knew it wouldn’t end well. We Kept quiet for most of the first half as not much happening but we were getting dodgy looks, we decided to get up for a beer, one bloke said something, a few verbals then it kicked off both of us ejected, train back to soton , in the pub in soton by 6 pm . I was really peed off as a few others went to Poole dogs after the match as one of them owned a greyhound but I didn’t feel like hanging about . 🤦♂️🍺 That’ll teach me .
Ipswich away 1974 night match,had a seat up in the home stands with family . I Watched us get hammered 7-0 . ! 😳 Eric Martin had a bit of a mare. [Post edited 3 Apr 8:35]

QPR a couple of times in the 80’s as my dads mate was a fan - once on the South Africa road terrace and one in the South Africa road seats above the terrace .
Spurs in the 90’s when they were redeveloping the ground and we only had 400 tickets - Sat in the Shelf .
Man Utd in the late 80’s or early 90’s when they wouldn’t sell away tickets on the day for some reason - this was at a time when you could pay at the gate even at clubs like Man U. Paid to go in the scoreboard terrace next to the Saints fans . A few others did the same that day.
Numerous times at Luton when they had banned away fans either in the oak road seats or the big terrace behind the goal.
Chelsea around 2003 when we for some reason I didn’t realise tickets went on sale. Sat in the shed end upper - this was when away fans were in the side stand. [Post edited 3 Apr 8:49]

Don't think I ever have. However, I have stood in an away end as an away supporter when both teams playing were not mine. Badly explained. But think it might have been 1986, West Ham away, canceled about 90 minutes before kick off but the coach was already in London, so we ended up at Highbury to watch Arsenal beat QPR 3-1. Seaman was in goal for QPR that day. |  | | |

Almost forgot my Dad taking me to Fratton Park and stood in the Fratton end to watch Saints win, 3-0 if I recall.
There was no problem and no segregation back then.
I also remember being a 12 year old surrounded by thousands of them in the Milton Road end of the Dell. That was intimidating but they won 3-2 so it could have been worse.
