Hijacking posts and deleting threads is a form of censorship surely?
What happened to freedom of expression and for all those who think our national security is of little consequence lets see how that plays out
Given all the support for the right wing Tory government on this forum its little wonder this country is in the state it is
Look across the pond and learn
Good luck

Freedom is a myth extoled by the Establishment since the Middle Ages to keep the lower social classes in check. Alternative is a regular World War to thin out the genepool.

In fact the recently publicised reduction in birth rates is probably also a product of social engineering to avoid the infrastucture costs incurred by a nuclear war

Let’s hope that there is a balance and not just the censoring of posts from one side of the political divide. It does seem odd though that one minute we are saying on here that we should be able to decide and then we don’t get a chance to discuss certain topics or ignore them if we so chose.

I agree that arguments from either side can get boring but we don’t have to read them and we don’t have to engage with them if we don’t want to.

You hijack every single post.

You know if you, Saint22 and Ian weren't on this forum, there would be very little politics talked about on here and it would be mostly about football.

The sooner Nick nukes the 3 of you, the better.

Nick - why ban Del Bianco and let these oddballs continue with their political campaigning?

1. I have to hijack lock & delete certain posts because I am held accountable for the content if I allow it to be posted in certain cases.

2. I dont do either unless it is neccessary.

3. This is not a forum about national security it os a football forum and the majority of the people on here do not want to get involved in anything other than Saints and football

4. Given the way you have described the posters on this format and your contempt for the government, it is clear that freedom of speech and expression is within your own vocabulary.

5. I am happy for people to highlight issues on this website, what I am not happy about is the when it is political rants

And you get to decide when it's a rant, namely when someone posts something you disagree with. Nick you are like the brat who picks up the football and walks off when your team is losing. I ignore most political posts but sometimes have my say, as long as its not ranked as a football post whats the problem? btw Nick you said the government has always followed the science. Clearly Boris's non attendance at 5 Cobra meetings has passed you by and then there is this

Not another Guardian disciple .

A start Nick would be to ban political links from any paper , if someone wants to express an opinion why posts someone else's opinion. That would reduce Saint22's threads dramatically as most he just puts a title then a link to the Guardian or some apple one .

Nick,

For what it's worth, I think you do a very good job of running this forum. I don't agree with all your views but that's how it should be. And if you decide that a thread or a poster need to go then that's got to be your call - none of the rest of us have the responsibility of making sure TUI doesn't break any rules.

This forum is much much freer of childish abuse and unpleasantness than a couple of months back. And as long as the remaining political spats are kept to the non-football part of the forum, I can't see there's any harm in them.

We all probably spend far too much time on here and far too much time arguing with each other about opinions that are never going to change. But I enjoy hearing different political views and the football chat is always interesting.

A role like yours is always going to be a thankless one, but I think most people on here appreciate what you do. They should - they would miss TUI if it wasn't here.

Keep up the good work.

Yeah I do get to decide, someone has to, I have never banned anyone or removed a post because I disagree with it, but I do deal with it if I feel that it is affecting the board.

Your post here is an example of exactly what I am trying to cut out not because I disagree but because it is nothing more than a rant against one side or the other, it is no better than putting up an article from the USA in Redneck Weekly and claiming that Donald Trump is getting things right.

This confirms that Johnson is aware of the contents of the document, but because he has not said he has read it cover to cover, I am fine with political posts I am fine on people commenting whether I like their opinion or not, what I am not fine with is every little point being turned into an argument and a tirade of insults.

Boris Johnson whatever he has done has passed me by on this board because I'm hear to talk about Saints not the government.

22, don't take this the wrong way or turn it in to another tirade against someone who may or may not disagree with your political views, but the sort of threads you have repeatedly put on this forum really are repetitive and of no interest to the majority on here. Surely you have realised that by now.

It is almost as if you are trying to use this board as a political forum rather than a forum intending to be about football but with general banter and interest thrown in, or even get more people banned because they bite and throw abuse at you (which you may like as you have got the reaction you wanted?)

The posts are extreme and often personal and come across as if you are standing in front of a political rally expecting all of the banner waving cohorts there agreeing with everything you say and that no one should dare to disagree with your opinion

Keep those posts to a minimum and not so antagonistic and stick to the footy a bit more and you might get a few more friends

Doris, what a hypocrite you are. You have absolutely no self awareness whatsoever do you? Before I started posting regularly here I used to just read the posts and there was plenty of politics flying about, mostly from people like you. You are quite happy to spout off yourself but you go into one if it doesn’t suit your agenda. Can I remind all the Brexiteers on here that when you go on about democracy and freedom of speech, that works both ways. Liberals and socialists are just as entitled to their opinions as you are and until this place becomes a right wing only domain I suggest you button you lip about banning people with different opinions to yourself.

I know the irony will be lost on you, but weren’t you telling us a little while ago about how you support minorities? It seems like your mask is slipping. Banning those with a different point of view smells of fascism doesn’t it?

Funny how referring to me as a Jack boot wearing Nazi and white supremacist wasn't removed a short while ago, yet you berate Nick for freedom of speech/expression..I think Nick does an extremely decent job in moderating some of the content on here and definitely doesn't need any stick from the likes of you.

You and the depressing duo of DopeyIan and SadoldGhost use Nazi and rightwing extremist as your base line for anyone that's not blinkered and delusional as yourselves, its tiresome and pathetic in all honesty.

Now let's all hope for 3 points and a clean sheet this evening.
