We have played better than I thought we would have, but make mistakes against City and you pay for them. Lord help us in the second half........

| Saints At Manchester City Matchday Thread on 18:54 - Mar 10 by saint22 | It makes zero sense bringing him back in after the two games FF played, he is so low on confidence and it permeates to the defence Really poor decision from Ralph that one |
It makes no sense at all. The defence is walking on eggshells.

| Saints At Manchester City Matchday Thread on 18:48 - Mar 10 by kingslandstand1 | Stephens - put a bloody tackle in! He just strolled past him |
That is the answer to everyone who wondered if Stephens would make a good DM. No, he doesn't. I think I never saw a midfielder running fewer than him, making fewer passes than him and not winning a single duel. That is embarrassing. If the rumors are true I'd be happy for him to spend his 2m a year in bars every night and never enter a pitch for Saints again. BTW in my opinion it was a pen on Foden as he would have scored without that hit on his foot. To give it would have been the proof to all players that you don't need to roll around for refs to spot fouls like that - but no, you'll have to get down, not try to reach the ball any more and act like being hurt...
| Saints At Manchester City Matchday Thread on 19:01 - Mar 10 with 938 views | Bison | Harsh lads I think we doing much better than expected. Like Salisu at left back. We can score at any corner or dead ball. Our defence is pony but this is best team in world. Brighton and B'muff are the 'must' win games. | |

| Saints At Manchester City Matchday Thread on 18:51 - Mar 10 by cocklebreath | Played quite well going forward, utter pony at the back but when you have a keeper who doesn’t make saves it’s difficult |
We are our own worst enemies. Play well, don't take our chances and then our mistakes get punished. Bertrand switched off and McCarthy flaps it to KdB Djenepo should have scored and then Adams assists Mahrez Then we allow Mahrez to waltz through virtually our whole defence unchallenged. With a bit of organisation and less errors, we could have still been in this. Guess it is now damage limitation and maybe bringing on a Right Back, whereas City will give the like of Stirling, Aguero and Jesus a run out for the last 20-30 mins, now that the result is secured.

Def playing better than expected, but gifting them goals. As 22 said, they don't need help but we have still concede 5 goals

The way City played and without errors of our own making and with Fraser in goal we could well have got a point.

Except that he is forever getting in to offside positions when he shouldn't. Yes, he's up there and the finish is normally pretty good, but .............
