Its not only Grimsby but Blackpool (struggling in the Championship) and Sheff Weds and Lincoln both League 1 outfits.
We didnt exactly excell in these games.

We have been drifting along surviving on the back of a few individuals having some brief glory periods...ie Ralph, Ings, JPW .
The reality is we have been floating down the river bobbing along keeping our heads just above the water and now we've hit the rapids, rocks and Niagara falls is firmly in sight.
Sadly there is a sense of inevitability about it all.

The starting point needs to be Dragan Solak. He needs to throw out Rasmus Ankersen, Semmens et al, in instal a decent CEO that is going to drive standards.
The entire scouting and recruitment departments need throwing out as does 90% of the squad.

Relegation is a good starting point to do so.
Burnley changed their manager and entire squad playing philosophy everything.
They are smashing league one and in the 1/4 finals of the cup.
Selles has been head coach throughout this debacle.

None of our players are equipped for the Championship and we'll be unable to shift any of them from our bloated squad as they won't want to move as no other club would be stupid enough to match the wages we are paying.

On last night's evidence, we'll struggle in League One. Grimsby are near the bottom of League Two and had several key players out injured last night. They only finished 6th in the National League last season. I saw Eastleigh draw 4-4 with them 9 months ago.
With our current squad, it really is hard to see us avoiding consecutive relegations. We have no goalkeepers who can save goals and no strikers who can score them and a huge amount of money has been wasted on players whose inflated wages we'll be committed to paying for years to come because nobody else will want them.
