Absolutely right FT, the Cup Final must be the last game of the season without question. As you rightly say, Sky can stuff their Super Sunday where the sun has never shone…
And another thing - thinking back a month to Boxing Day, the Sky bar stewards have now totally wrecked another one of our football traditions, the Boxing Day fixture where all the top flight teams and everyone else in ‘The 92’ play on the same day. Yes, they have been chipping away at it for a few years now by moving some games to the 27th for live broadcast but on Boxing Day 2023 we hit a new low with just 5/10 PL games on the day so half the Division’s fans denied seeing their team play a traditional Boxing Day game - yet again, thanks to Sky. In 2019 it was still 9/10 on Boxing Day - 5 years down the road it is a new low of 5/10. The reason will be the extra money for extra games covered - still unacceptable when they fc uk about with traditions. | |
