Despite being English to the core and a supporter of all things related to football, I didn’t watch one minute of any game from the Qatar World Cup, this due to FIFA’s ignorance towards the country’s human rights.
Looks like another complete miss for me at next year’s competition, this time due to the outright and very visible corruption of FIFA from the top to the bottom of the organization. |  |

It seems to me that FIFA have based their pricing for the finals on what the NFL charge for tickets for Super Bowl games in the latter stages of the competition with prices for the Super Bowl final and the World Cup final depressingly similar. Absolutely disgusting but not the slightest bit surprised by the wanton greed of FIFA unashamedly on open display for all to see.

An old colleague of mine, has done last 5 World Cups, but has decided against next year because of prices. Must admit, I don't blame him. They are ridiculous, and I have sympathy for those who follow England (and others), build up points to guarantee tickets and then get shafted like this.
Interesting article in telegraph today, referencing FA's silence, why they haven't spoken up etc and the extra costs FIFA added because number of teams increased ? [Post edited 13 Dec 20:41]

Hedge End plans to go to the first two friendlies in Florida before WC, then Croatia game in Dallas for my 7th WC finals since Spain 82.
Back home for a while then off to Mexico, 45th country visited, for 5 July R16 march, then back for Semi and Final if we get lucky, keep the faith
