Surely no one is going to watch this cringefest next year. Exorbitant ticket prices, restrictions on travel for fans from countries Trump doesn’t like and Infantino making up an award for the imbecile is off putting to say the least.

As usual, I will refuse to watch it until it’s on.

I applied for a job in the US recently with half an eye on trying to go to a game or two but I didn’t get it.

It’s probably for the best given my internet history and the crackdown on people who hate big, orange fascists.

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

Despite being English to the core and a supporter of all things related to football, I didn’t watch one minute of any game from the Qatar World Cup, this due to FIFA’s ignorance towards the country’s human rights.
Looks like another complete miss for me at next year’s competition, this time due to the outright and very visible corruption of FIFA from the top to the bottom of the organization.

From his vantage point lodged in Trump's arse, old billiard ball bonce probably feels pretty good about himself. After all Blatter and Platini got off scot free even after the Swiss appealed.

Test will be when Trump finds out Italy is in Europe . We all know what he thinks about us.

Had an Email this afternoon from the ESTC with all the details.

I love watching England, but the prices are utterly obscene.

Cheapest ticket is 4,000 US Dollars for the Final.

I did have my eye on the Last 16 game and the quarterfinal, but increasingly minded not to bother at all.

It seems to me that FIFA have based their pricing for the finals on what the NFL charge for tickets for Super Bowl games in the latter stages of the competition with prices for the Super Bowl final and the World Cup final depressingly similar. Absolutely disgusting but not the slightest bit surprised by the wanton greed of FIFA unashamedly on open display for all to see.

Can’t you go and play somewhere else, preferably in the middle of the M25.
The grownups are talking now, it’s past your bedtime. Maybe one of us can read
a good night story if you like. What about this one it’s called “I’m a sad Fck”
I guess you probably know it, you and your… “friends”

Are you talking to yourself ??
Like I said , go and watch Jackanory or Blue Peter .
Once you’ve finished your tea then it’s bedtime.
10 year olds aren’t allowed in Pubs, its the same way on internet forums .
Go and play with your Action Man or Barbie .
I’m sure the rest of your tribe will join in.

Does this mean no Hedge End flag next year ?

An old colleague of mine, has done last 5 World Cups, but has decided against next year because of prices. Must admit, I don't blame him. They are ridiculous, and I have sympathy for those who follow England (and others), build up points to guarantee tickets and then get shafted like this.

Interesting article in telegraph today, referencing FA's silence, why they haven't spoken up etc and the extra costs FIFA added because number of teams increased ?

Hedge End plans to go to the first two friendlies in Florida before WC, then Croatia game in Dallas for my 7th WC finals since Spain 82.
Back home for a while then off to Mexico, 45th country visited, for 5 July R16 march, then back for Semi and Final if we get lucky, keep the faith

Anyone lend us a few quid?

Good luck Hedge End. That is some record !

As for a couple of quid, looking at the prices for next year it will probably need more than a couple of quid ! :)

Enjoy !
