A welcome return for a much loved manager or
booed as a Beale like lying deserter ?

I might clap him first half then boo him for the second

He was outthought by Julien in all areas today and it was a pleasure to see. How he set them up in that first half considering he knows most of our players was embarrassing: we tore them apart. Not surprised he made no changes until the 63rd minute and his team were still passing it around at the back with no urgency either: we’ve all seen it before.

Can't let it go, can you Ned?

Great win for us today, shame that you can only see it the context of a manager who did a decent job for us.

There are actually people on here trying to argue that Cifuentes was no better than Ainsworth?

My word. Astonishing.

So come on, which players didn't like Marti?

I'm going, Madsen, Dunne and Dembele for starters! Chair as well, but couldn't show it today.

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

Yes, you really are labouring the point.

“But I think he is a better manager than he is given credit for and he doesn't get his due for keeping us up in 2023.”.

As you’ve said several times on this thread. But there is literally no data that supports GA did a good job, or should be given credit for saving us that season, as you keep putting it.

Taken in isolation, one can spin staying up as a PR success story - one that Ainsworth spun himself, and you evidently bought.

But taken in combination over two seasons, this school of thought is shown up to be what it is. Nonsense. GA presided over relegation form, over two seasons, not one.

The second season is key, as it reveals GAs true managerial performance, as is the performance of the replacement manager Marti, who proved that squad was not relegation fodder.

Thereby, demonstrating how GA didn’t “save us”, but in fact, was the primary reason why we were in that position in the just place. Again, across BOTH seasons.

You are flogging a dead horse. But I suspect, you’ll carry on regardless.

"Taken in isolation, one can spin staying up as a PR success story - one that Ainsworth spun himself, and you evidently bought."

Wide-eyed fool that I am

I get that my view is in the minority on here and I can live with that.

Nothing you said has made me change my mind and clearly nothing I say will change yours.

So let's leave it at that.

Sounds like YOU can’t let it go Beef.

Great win for us today but Marti’s gone, he didn’t love you after all and he’s not coming back. Time to move on.

You seem to be finding it particularly difficult to move on 😉

This is a message board about QPR and Ainsworth came up on this thread. You are not the messageboard police and cannot determine what fans wish to write about because you don’t like it. Ainsworth was a complete disaster, and took us the the brink. The data and facts don’t lie. You’ve clearly got considerable blinkers on and can’t separate Ainsworth the player from Ainsworth the manager.

You asked for an explanation of my down vote and I believe I gave you a balanced view. The down vote is for when you don't agree or don't like a post.

I don't see how I've got blinkers on when I said his record was poor and it was a poor appointment by the club.

Ainsworth has been a decent manager with some success, just not for us. It's not being message board police to give an opinion that we should move on and stop hammering him.

Sorry, but that’s pretty rich pickings in terms of a sign off. I’m really not the one who needs to “change my mind” here. Because this isn’t an equal setting; quite simply the data does not lie. Something you continue to, and conveniently ignore. GA across both seasons was on course to finish rock bottom in the championship, for the last 20 seasons data. You have some seriously thick skin to continue arguing to the contrary, and suggesting all this is a matter of one’s opinion.

Now who's determined to keep it going.......

So far I've made all the running on this. All you do is put forward facts that don't stand up to scrutiny, so you jump to a different fact, and another, and back to where you started.

Going round in circles with someone who isn't interested in what I say gets a bit tedious after a while.

You're even trying to tell me I'm gullible for believing that Ainsworth keeping us up is a success.

So it should be a piece of cake for you to convince me that Ainsworth keeping us up was actually a failure.

So if you want to keep this going you make the running. Convince me that GA keeping us up was actually a failure.

You are doing all the running because you need to. Whereas, my side of the argument quite literally speaks for itself. What an odd back and forth this is. Agree, let’s close it up.

Monga is only 16? Wow, he looked class. But yeah, bid odd to make no half-time subs.

100% - had no idea he was 16

One of those players you see and think they’re going to go far - he looked a cut above

Ironically remember seeing Emile Heskey come on for Leicester at 16/17 and looked quality straight off the bat

I liked Marti when he was here but today showed why he wasn’t as good as we thought, he just did better than the jokers who came before him.

Obviously Leicester have got a terrible dressing room, you could see it on the pitch, but he had no plan B, made no changes at half time and continued to let his team pass the ball aimlessly across the back 4.

He did a good job here but we have upgraded massively.

You can't judge Cifuentes on one game, surely. Especially as they are a club in total turmoil, which you can't lay at his door.

I will ask all the Marti naysayers why they think two years of keeping us in this division with basically no goalscorers worthy of the name, whilst inheriting a team from the truly terrible management of Ainsworth, isn't commendable.

I hope you are right about JS being an upgrade, but that is also too soon to judge. We've seen under Marti and Warburton that QPR are able to surge into the play off zone then lose the next 17 games or something. If he can actually get us to win away on Boxing Day, I may start to believe.

Had no issue with the "sacked in the morning" and especially the "Last Christmas" chants, but to call Marti the c word was not something I was taking part in. I look forward to Nourry getting the same treatment when his own PR work eventually pays off.

A real desire to win has been bubbling under for a little while now, occasionally surfacing, but today was a real step up.

Either that, or a lot of these players didn’t have the love for Marti quite as much as a lot of our fanbase.

Probably a combo of the two. Whatever, long may it continue.

Agree, the 'Marti you're a c××t' was a poor show, it didn't go around the stadium and it was just those pesky kids at the back of R Block.
There were even a few boos when it started up.

You have been very against speculation in the past. What's changed?

Would doubt very much that Cook doesn't like Marti. It wasn't Marti that asked him to forgo his contractual rights and stripped him of captain.

We can just tell the players that Marti manages ALL the other clubs in the championship and West Ham too.

That should see us in an automatic promotion position and get a cup run going.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
