To be fair to Spors he's got good deals for players when they've been sold recently
30 million was a good deal for Charles, we got a good fees for Dibling and Fernandes last summer and we got a knock on from him moving to Spurs and Ballard going to Bristol
I seem to recall an interview with Solak earlier this summer where he alluded to not standing in the way of a couple of players who'd been here a while and greatly contributed to the team last season, I assumed he was talking about Taylor and Shea there
I'll be glad when the window has "slammed shut" in just over a weeks time, be prepared to brace yourself for others potentially going. Nothing we can do about it, just have to hope the money brought in is invested wisely in good quality replacements [Post edited 20 Aug 18:57]

I think must reasonable people would have expected of a least a couple at of our stars to leave after not getting promoted. Let’s face it Charles and THB are not championship players when fully on form . I just hope we can keep Jander, Azaz and Scienza and we really need to get some more quality in the remainder of the window.

Every club has to sell their best players if they were going for promotion and missed out, that's fine as long as your scouting and recruitment is good. Coventry lost Gykores, Hamer and O'Hare over a couple of seasons, but their recruitment was good and they replaced wisely. I just hope we can too | |

We will unfortunately owe Villa instalment payments for the purchases of both Archer and Dobbin.
It could be that it suits both clubs for this to be netted off against our valuation of Harwood-Bellis, such that the official fee is say £18 million, but in reality it is £25 million as Villa agree to waive any future payments due on the 2 players they sold to us.

Don’t we all shooters but it’s not looking optimal at the moment is it.
Ross Stewart gone and replaced by a Man City loan who’s main claim to fame appears to being sent off for diving againsts us last season.
Che Charles who arguably was our best midfield player gone and replaced by nobody.
T B H allegedly putting in a transfer request and probably on his way before the window shuts with no sign of a replacement.
Something needs to change and change quickly if we are to be genuine automatic promotion contenders given that we are already seven points behind the top two teams. [Post edited 21 Aug 11:41]
