Putting aside the transport shannigans - it was a great day out and it is special because I got to spend it with my son who I do not see that often. I thought our team, our manager, our fans did the club and the city proud. I know we lost but I felt we had won - Tone Eckert has done that - he has brought back something I thought we had lost - passion, pride, belief and a sense of belonging to the club and city.
I know tomorrow is a huge game and it may be a step too far, but whatever happens, even if we don't go up, that we don't lose what we have for so long been seeking and currently have - it is good to be Southampton FC again. |  | | |

Was a great day out - result aside - the pride that the players had and the effort was exceptional, plus the celebration for the Azaz goal will live long in the memory, up there with some of the best i've been at.
Really thought we were going to beat them too, so their two goals were absolutely gutting.

The sad reality is that if Tonda carries on at the current rate it will be impossible for us to hold on to him because the vultures will be circling. If he does take us up this season and we do well in the Prem he'll likely go at the end of next season. The richest clubs throughout Europe can take their pick of the best coaches and players. We were on that train and ended up shelling £50 for a cab back to Southampton! After listening to the eastern european guard lady ranting at everyone...
Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed a fair few beverages near Paddington on the way there and back, with a load of old mates
As for the trophy - I am lucky enough to have seen our only major one to date and with the way it always pans out for the big money teams, am unlikely to see another one. I hope you get your turn sometime.
But like on other threads, I was immensely proud to see our city represented so well by the team and so many supporters all day.

Yeah along with some others on here I’ve seen saints in 6 finals (all comps) 2 FA cup, 2 league/ carabo cup, 1 JPT, 1 Zenith data systems and al the other semi finals v Everton, Watford , Liverpool, Chelsea and now City , so pissed off we can’t get over the line in important games.
Had a great weekend staying in a flat literally a stones throw from Wembley Park station, great time Friday night nice meal in Wembley then onto Leicester Square to meet others, JJ moons before the game, Camden Town and market yesterday and a boat trip to Little Venice. got back today no hassle, no stress.
