schoolboy football, sh*t goalkeeper, sh*t defence, non-existent midfield and a manager with absolutely no f**kin idea = a hammering.

i seriously think ralph has taken us as far as he can
i know people will say look at our squad but he has left KWP out, he doesn't pick FF, his formations are out of whack when they need to be on point
it feels like it won't ever get any better with him at the wheel

Tella has been the only bright spot today
maybe ralph will even pick him now..........

The squad is poor but he’s not getting the best out of it either. He should be sacked.

I've been saying that he hasn't a clue for a while now.
It's crying out for someone with tactical expertise. That set up today was absolutely bizarre against Liverpool at Anfield.
Seen enough...

I don't think the squad is poor, but he's putting out a suspect keeper and not using the best players - not starting Kyle Walker Peters for example, and the tactics, well it looks like a lottery."Let's try this and see what happens'.
Was watching a stream, but couldn't be bothered with the second half - too sad to watch.

So Ralph does a tactical switch to give us a chance. He doesn’t play Walcott and let’s Tella have 45 minutes and we play well, pundits on tv are saying we have given them a game. Yet all the buffoons (who’d have also complained if he’s played like 10 at the back) on here can do is glory in the fact that we aren’t beating one of the best teams in the world (that beats a Man U team with RONALDO in it 5-0 away (which is certainly worse than this)). At the end of the day, this was always going to be a 3/4-0 game as our defence sure is decent this season, yet our attack is dreadful and without any threat with us also missing all our golden opportunities (which Ralph creates with his traits yet the players miss with their lack of quality) hence why as soon as we concede more than 1, it’s basically game over, and we were always gonna concede multiple goals against Liverpool today.

It’s the Leicester game where we can expect something and a 3/4-0 is no where near good enough, as you don’t sack a manager for loosing to a great team by their average score they win by.

But I thought that last week all you Ralph out lot, we’re complaining that we shouldn’t play KWP on his wrong side? So how’s he meant to play when according to you he can’t play on one side, and the other we’ve got a better fullback for? And sorry but what’s McCarthy done that’s that bad today? None of the goals are blatantly his fault and no keepers were gonna save any of them (especially not Forster) so why’s he to blame

After the first half, I was quite pleased it was only 4-0. This had all the making of another drubbing.
I have rarely criticised Ralf for tactics, but today he got this so badly wrong. Time after time, they got down the flanks, putting crosses in for fun, pulling our defence all over the place.

We looked better after going 4-4-2, but by this time, Liverpool were just playing with us and giving players a rest.

Realistically we didn't expect anything from this game, but it was the manner of the defeat that was disappointing.

No shame in losing that game. This is what happens when a quality team plays quality football and an average team plays average football. I admire Ralph for sending out a team to try and take the game to Liverpool and not park the bus but they have better players and they played to their ability. Roll on Leicester and thank goodness we don’t have to play Liverpool ever week.

Sorry but what’s soo controversial about it then? It’s just called being realistic and if you really wanna support a team that’s gonna have a decent chance at beating the likes of Liverpool at home every season, then go off and be one of those typical Man City/United or Chelsea glory hunter lot. As we’re saints, we’re not a team that is known for beating world class teams week in week out, and will get the odd win occasionally but a majority of the time will loose exactly how we did today. And you certainly don’t sack a manger for loosing to one of the worlds best teams at the sort of score that most realistic people expect.

Oh but sadoldgit we should be easily beating or holding one of the best teams in the world to a draw or even beating them with our championship attack, according to certain people on here, hence why he should be sacked. Or is it just a bit childish and unrealistic to expect that?

Sorry, should have started 4-4-2, not concede four goals and then change it.
Closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, making himself look completely incompetent.
How long has he been a Premiership manager now?
Just nowhere near good enough.

Woeful from Ralph again trying out a formation that simply gave liverpool huge space for their wings to exploit.

Raph has the next two games to save his job with four points needed.

I’m not calling for him to be sacked but we lost at Norwich because he couldn’t respond to their tactical change, and we were hammered in the opening today because he got his starting line up disastrously wrong.

It’s what it is, but it’s so boring now. Because we’ve been scratching our heads about his tactics since Danny Rohl left and that was a long time ago.

Most of us didn't expect us to get anything today but it was the manner of the defeat that matters.
To play 3 up front was ridiculous at Liverpool.
Adams, Armstrong and Broja together was never going to work.
Adams was showing some form and scored at Norwich only to be subbed for the second half. Today he was hauled off again. Armstrong and Adams were showing some promise until all that happened.
Today Liverpool toyed with us and I do not like to see that.
Liverpool are not one of the best teams in the world.

Ralph is a tinkerman & today his game plan failed miserably. Why make large scale changes at Anfield of all places??? He was tactically naive today and tactics are a major part of being a manager. He went back to his old ways today & the buck stops with him. His plan today lasted 1 minute 30 seconds ffs.

Not one person on this forum honestly thought we'd win today. What we did expect is Ralph to keep things pretty much the way they have been lately & perhaps make the odd minor change - not play a system where no one looked like they knew their job/knew what they were doing. Most bizarre... and at Anfield of all places. Saying we do shíte there every year is no excuse. Perhaps Ralph ought to have phoned Mr Potter at Brighton for tips on how to play them at Anfield & what system to use?
