| Would a newby be a booby ? Match thread on 08:03 - Jan 24 with 3424 views | numptydumpty | Think Edwards will start in place of Cook. Personally, i would give Vale a start over Dembele with Smyth starting also and Kone and Kolli up front, but hope to see twenty minutes of Obikwu. I reckon this game is a score draw, one all for me. It would be a big win, if we could achieve this though, but cant see that happening myself. Its a tough game ahead. [Post edited 24 Jan 8:04]

It has been said elsewhere. Unless there is a fitness issue it must be Jimmy and Steve against Moore. If Ronnie is to play today it should be in midfield.

I’d agree. Have Ronald as a holding MF or even as a RB However…. I think he WILL makes his home debut today if nothing else to get the crowd going (and not just the ladies( Gutted to be missing today and even more so as I had to turn down a corporate invite

Cook must have a picture somewhere in his attic aging disgracefully... and the way he us playing I would give the old boy another contract!! if Dembele starts we deserve everything we don't get... a win !! But I just have a feeling... this could go our day So against all profound medical advice I'mgoing ........ yes a win... 4th clean sheet... don't think that is possible... but a fighting 2-1.... Scorers... OG and Jimmy boy.. you heard it here first [Post edited 24 Jan 10:22]

Like that idea but doesn’t get round the issue of the CDs playing so deeply but does add am extra ball playing DM who can bring the ball out from deep. Moore may not start as Smith has scored quite a few goals too. I’m going for 2-2. Can’t see them not scoring but at home with the crowd may spur us on a bit. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Would a newby be a booby ? Match thread on 11:07 - Jan 24 with 3052 views | davman | Rumour is that he is looking at a change of formation and that Vale and Morgan may feature. What do we reckon? Three CBs? Not sure we have "wing backs" for that. One up top? Think that is a given, but WHO? 4-2-3-1 most likely, but at times we look like we play that anyway, so is it a change? Diamond? Possibly, but is that Madsen deep, Vale and Morgan central with a "proper" 10 and if so, who? Dembele? Don't make me laugh. Or is it Hayden sitting, Vale and Madsen in the middle then Vale in a 10? And does that STILL mean two up top? Thoughts? | |

I would think the defence more or less picks itself - the only real question is whether Cook or Edwards starts. I expect Cook to get the nod but expect Ronnie to make an appearance at some stage. As for the rest of the side, who knows? I'd quite like to see a 433, with Hayden sitting alongside Vale and Madsen, with Kolli and Smyth starting wide of Kone. Won't happen but it might be amusing.

I'm v. nearly with you: 4-2-3-1: Walsh Mbengue-Dunne-Cook (the Moore threat)-RND Hayden-Edwards Morgan-Madsen-Vale Kone (Kolli possibly early sub)

Might go 3421 and match the Disney darlings up? Dunne, Cook, Edwards at the back Mbengue right, Smyth left Madsen and Hayden in the middle Vale and Kolli behind Kone possibly We've been playing really narrow anyway so might not be that much of a change

Interesting rumour, dav. Wrexham are strongest in centre-mid, so it'll be interesting to see what we do there. I'm looking forward to this one.

Some positive changes. Would start Kolli instead of Kone or Dembele but not bad.
