International Break 12:53 - Sep 22 with 28146 viewsRedbourneR

Anyone know who's off and playing for their country? Jimmy Dunne and Harvey Vale for RoI,I guess, and Paul Smyth for the North, so who else is going to be missing from the training ground? Nothing on the offish.

I wonder if Ilemayehu will get some minutes on Friday. He will have been training with the squad for the last two weeks and should be fresh

In theory it could mean a five day ban from club football I believe. The wording isn’t very consistent though- either the club forced him to return early, seemingly unlike the various other players we have around the world right now, or didn’t.

Much easier of course to just tell your national team manager you don’t fancy it and get a few weeks with your feet up á la Palmer and Rice.

Looks to me like QPR have messed up.

Fully expecting a punishment much more severe than either Man City or he scummers would ever get for their far more serious offences.

He was poor in the last game too. Not sure he’ll get too many more chances under Tuchel.

Well he was outstanding here, brilliant at Palace and average at Arsenal.

I thought he played quite well, not really a left winger but did a decent job for the team

He did ok, but others are way ahead of him. Was a mistake him joining Arsenal. ie Doesnt get masses of game time. At QPR and Palace if he was 100% fit, he is playing. He got his winners medal.

If I was him, would want a move a little lower down the food chain so he can be the main man. Not the first to do this. Jack Grealish, Connor Gallacher, Phil Foden, Kalvin Phillips. many go to clubs where they are not certain of game time.

For me Eze is unlikely to be involved much with England, going forwards.

1 season at Arsenal and won the league and got to a champions league final, not sure why he'd want to leave.

Others are ahead of hin but just to get in this squad is an achievement with the quality England have. Tuchel seems to like him, always seems to want him invovled in games

He did fine, was taking up some good positions but just didn't get any decent chances. He was right behind Kane for one of his goals and would have scored if Kane hadn't.

He didn't look happy though. When he plays well, he has a smile on his face. Last night he looked miserable.

He hardly gets much game time at Arsenal.

I think Tuchel has given him some opportunities, but he hasnt really had one game for England where he has had any kind of impact. And as Tuchel picks players on form, I doubt he will get many more opportunities.

Yes he got a winners medal at Arsenal and yes he got some minutes in the Champions League final, but he again is only a bit part player. He has got the medal now, though not as a key player.

If he was at say a club like Newcastle, or even say Man United, could potentially get European football, and would be picked nearly every game and more chance of getting much more game time for England, ie playing at the top of his game for his club, as much easier to maintain class, if you playing all the time, as opposed to a few minutes here and there.

Great player on his day, but for me his personal impact on games, since only playing occasionally has fallen.

Only really played at the level, he has, in two games against Spurs for Arsenal last season. Madueke got many more opportunities last season for Arsenal and England and his top level is nowhere near Eze's.

Shame but i think his career will stagnate, whilst he stays at Arsenal.

If he is happy with picking up winners medals, whilst only being a bit part player, his choice.

Personally could see him thriving again for club and country, performing at the top level, we know he has, if he is a guaranteed starter, most games, if he is fit.

It was noticeable how much more of the ball he got once Bellingham went off and he moved into the centre.

Jude is a great player, deserves to be first pick in the position and he dominates the ball; he does sometimes try to do too much and hang onto the ball when a pass would be better. Eze in a position to receive the ball but often ignored. It's similar at Arsenal.

When Gordon plays he gets much more of the ball. I think it's because he has the pace tomgomdown the outside

Tactical. Call him back, pay the fine and If suspended for few days let him rest just to avoid the risk he could have been injured and out for a long period

Good point. Perhaps we wanted him back, rested and involved with training in time for the Derby match. As you say he’s risking getting injured plus there’s hardly any time to train with the first team after the WHam game as we’re playing mid week.

Not sure why they recalled Kamara but let Smyth stay with the Northern Ireland squad where he spent to 4 games sat on the bench. At least Kamara played in a couple of Finland's games.

He doesn’t really need to work with Smyth as he’s already integrated into the squad. Also because he’s not played he’s not going to be exposed to injuries. Plus because they played at home it’s not really much of a challenging journey back from Northern Ireland. And finally he has had a pre season whereas we’re still trying to get Kamara up to full match fitness.

Cirkin on the other hand won’t play anyway as he’s been suspended so probably worth getting him match fit by playing matches for Latvia.

He's not played much this season but he played loads last year 33 in the Prem and around 13 in the champions League. he was heavily involved all season. He played around 20 more games then Madueke and started a lot more.

He needs to have more on an impact in the final 3rd to really establish himself but he's more than capable. I actually think he'll end up dropping deeper into midfield rather than be the creative force of a team
