He will be the manager whether we like it or not, he might be good (nothing to suggest he is rubbish so far i.e no relegations etc), so I agree, we might as well support him but like others I'm not convinced it will work. As I have said previously I don't really know the guy. I am not sure whether it is a barometer or not but Radio 5 this evening were talking highly of him. I was hoping for a Potter but if this is the choice then we have to give him a chance and hope he makes a success of it for the sake of the club, team, city and we the fans. I suppose what might irk is if Potter or similar goes to one of the other relegated clubs. | | | |

Yeah. Almost doing anything would be better than constantly having hopes raised in summer
transfers and then enduring the numerous disappointments and low points with pathetic excuses of recent seasons. I think I’ll paint the fence and watch it dry, go shopping, visit my mother in law, clean the car, watch old movies, clear out the shed, talk to my offspring etc all would be less damaging for my mental health. It’s the bigging up before and excuses after games that gets me. These players are on big bucks compared to most and seem not to care about losing so why should I care anymore? | | | |

Just over 2 months ago, when Swansea were 17th and sliding towards relegation, having won only won 1 of their last 11 games, it was rumoured that the owners at Swansea wanted to replace him and most of their fans certainly did. But, then an impressive unbeaten run took them up to 10th and saved him.... for us. It really is only that unbeaten run which offers some hope. His career prior to that was unimpressive to say the least.
Let's hope that it's the last 2 months we see emulated at Saints and not the rest of his career.
