| Do we have fitness problem 14:28 - Jan 11 with 877 views | GRIM | We keep on falling apart in the 2nd half of matches. WHY. Are we lacking in stamina & not fit to last the 90 + minutes. Or is it that the half time team talk has an adverse affect on the players. I must admit I do find Tonda boring but not as boring as Will Still was. Other teams come our fired up for 2nd half knowing that we will fall apart. | | | | |
| Do we have fitness problem on 15:11 - Jan 11 with 775 views | grumpy | We seem to concede at the start of the second half and go to pieces thereafter. I think teams think we are better than we are and then work us out. Our defending corners and free kicks into the box causes chaos. Why do they all stand on the goal line when corners come in,just causes confusion, push up make the other team stand back if they don't their offside. | | | |

The one thing Will Still did say that was right was the players seemed unfit and lacking stamina and needed physical training Seems like we have had a fitness issue since the first days of Ralph to me

Do we have a fitness problem ? Quite probably, but it’s hard to tell given all our other problems.

| Do we have fitness problem on 16:57 - Jan 11 with 647 views | SonicBoom | It's been an issue for a while now. I remember saying months back that I haven't seen a 90 minute performance from this squad for ages. Even games we won, we dropped off in the second halves. Personally I cant believe we aren't fit. Every player has GPS fitted to measure everything both in training and in matches. They'd know if their was a fitness problem. I think there's a mentality problem. We are extremely weak which worries me for the derby game. | | | |

We SO lack a leader at the back or in the middle of the park Someone to really get everyone going a Viera Keane type I do wonder if in this woke world those players are thing of the past? You can imagine a youth player getting yelled at by such a player and the complaining it’s affecting his mental health

It's clear that we are not as fit as our opponents. Even Doncaster came out strong in the second half while we did our usual pathetic effort. Unfortunately fitness is largely governed by the efforts put in during, what should be a rigorous pre-season. Not for the first time it appears our players were given a very easy ride. Bring back the days of Wee Gordon Strachan.
| Do we have fitness problem on 14:30 - Jan 12 with 281 views | 1885_SFC | The phrase "you need two hearts" to play for Mauricio Pochettino was coined by former Southampton midfielder Jack Cork, referring to the intense physical demands and rigorous training sessions the manager implemented. Pochettino is known for demanding exceptional fitness from his players to execute his high-energy, aggressive pressing style of play. His training methods often involve double or even triple sessions and were described as making players "suffer like a dog" by striker Dani Osvaldo. Those were the days... | |

There is a core of senior players loyal to Brent, who Alfie House strongly alluded to last week, and they are a disease rotting away at the club. Until they are out of the club, this problem will continue. Stephens, Downes, Harwood-Bellis and Manning. All of them need kicking out of the club.

Probably the fittest Saints team I’ve seen. High tempo, one touch pass and move, never allowing the opposition time to think or play. I remember Rickie Lambert crying that he couldn’t do it anymore. Oh ok was the reply but there was no let up in the training regime. I would like to see that level of fitness in a Saints team again.
