Unsurprisingly ripping Bojo and his ship of fools a new one!
Hancock should have been fired for lying about 15 odd things, no plan, lockdown should have been earlier
Telling us what we all knew

But hey lets keep voting the idiots in shall we

Starmer must be an inept c*nt seeing as he’s made Labour even more unelectable than before, even with this bunch of muppets we have currently in charge.

Yes, with Labour on about 600 votes, about 0.015% of the turnout

Labour were wiped out a lot more though. They were down in Monster Raving Loony Party territory with just 622 votes compared to 11,734 in 2017. It has been described on the BBC as one of the worst Labour by-election results in history.

But, I don't think this means the Lib Dems will win the next general election. It was very much about local issues. The building of the HS2 railway through the Bucks countryside and the removal of planning controls on green land for housing development got the local Tories up in arms as it will hit their property values and their country pursuits, so they registered their protest by voting Lib Dem.

Starmer looked like he might have the potential to revive Labour's fortunes but he very soon turned out to be just another grey man. As for the Lib-Dem leader, I doubt that many of the voters in this by election even knew who he was.

At the moment Boris looks invincible. His Old Etonian charm with a touch of Del Boy thrown in for good measure, which appeals so much to the English voters (if not the Celts), combined with the vaccine gratitude factor, will see him win the next general election.

Labour never poll in the shires, it's always the Lib dems.

That’s right, but 11.5k down to 600 votes is some achievement

Doesn't tactical voting come into this.
Labour voters voting for Liberal candidates because unhappy Tories voting for Liberals would swing the vote away from Tories.

This is what I heard this morning. There are a number of local issues that have really pissed the electorate off and they were desperate to get the Tories out. We need more of this across the country. The opposition parties need to work together more and hopefully we will finally get the change this country needs so badly.

The HS2 is an abomination

An Etonian Del boy which appeals to English voters

A damning indictment of this country if ever there was one

I’m looking for better alternatives not worse. So all you’ve suggested as an improvement is an unnamed someone chairing a Select committee from the Tories or Starmer. Pretty unimpressive selection. Is that because in your view our politicians are poor or because all Tories upset you and Starmer is the main star outside the government? Starmer’s ratings are weak and he does seem uninspired considering that Boris is politically clumsy.
What about Sunak for the Govt. or say John Ashworth who comes over well on health?

My point, which was pretty obvious, was that if I can only think of one (Patel) who would obviously be worse, then there are very very many who would be better, almost anyone in fact, including the two you mentioned and Starmer, Hunt, Greg Clarke, Yvette Cooper and other commit chairs.

Johnson is simply not fit for the job, and pretty much anyone who knows him or has worked with him (other than his current lackeys) has said so.

He is a national tragedy. Especially in times like these.

I don’t hate him. He’s seems quite funny and likeable in a bumbling sort of way.

It’s that Amber Rudd line: great fun at a party, just the last person you want driving you home.

I haven’t given much thought to who would make the best alternative PM.

I agree with all that. I’ve a couple of bosses like him, initial impressive (to some) always dependent on others doing the hard graft and then leave when soon bored. Surprised he’s stayed, I guess dragged along by Brexit taking so long and now pandemic. That’s why I’m interested in alternatives.

Sunak is the likely next leader of the Tories, whenever that may be.

The thing is that the bumbling thing is all just an act, something he admits himself. Those close to him say that he is a nasty piece of work and completely untrustworthy.

He’s at it again tonight with more damning testimony against Johnson. A while back his revelations would have been enough to make a PM resign. Now you just know that Johnson will deny it and carry on regardless. It appears he was going to see the Queen when he was infected with Covid 😂

Cummings is a Grade A weirdo but I doubt very much that he's making any of this up.

He was proved right in his contempt for Hancock too.

If he had said the same things about Theresa May you would doubt him but we have seen and heard enough about Johnson to know that his claims ring true. Grade A weirdo indeed and they made a very odd couple.

As for the headline on the bbc . If just impacted the over 80s , you wouldn’t lockdown . I’m sure the over 80s wouldn’t want to ruin their grandchildren’s future

Why is it bizarre? What is bizarre is that anyone wouldn’t believe them. He has already provided text evidence and his statements fit in very well with Johnson’s public actions and statements at the time. If you have read accounts from the likes of Max Hastings (another serial liar?) and other people who have employed him, it fits his feckless character perfectly. Despite all of the evidence there are still people who think this bloke is solid. Truly bizarre.

Cummings reminds me of that bitter girlfriend you dumped for someone prettier when you were in your teenage youth... who then goes around telling everyone you were a lousy shag, hung like a squirrel, never bought her presents, always at football getting pissed with your mates.

Just because it was all true - why the need to tell everyone?!?!
