He seems to get in the right places and when games get stretched towards the end of proceedings as Connell says in the opening of this thread, he is doing well in the first place to get into those positions to score, anyhow.
The composure has time to develop, for sure. He, by his very style, being a bit all arms and legs and seemingly not in control belies his actual abilities for me. He is far better than an initial snap evaluation could see. Think he will develop in the next two years when he will still only be 21. I personally think a loan to a L2 top half side could do him wonders.
One for the conveyabelt, I would suggest.....

Im not so sure he’ll be going. This call up may be just a way of ensuring he doesn't commit to Scotland who he also qualifies for. It’d be amazing if he does though.
Always good to see a young man at the start of his footballing career progressing and it’s obviously good for us too. Or you could just take the pişş out of a player you clearly dont rate. I suppose it depends what kind of person you are. (This is not directed at you DMM) [Post edited 11 May 15:54]

When I first saw him I thought no chance. However last summer he obviously spent a lot of time in the gym and bulked his upper body up and he looked vastly improved last season.
He is a good trainer hugely dedicated and this is a great loan for him and a real chance to go up another level.

I think this is a good move for all parties, and much more the sort of loan we should be doing. I'd have preferred League One, I think, but this is a lot better than the National League loans we usually get for our players, or him heading off into a less physically demanding league in CEE.
I've never really been sure about Bennie. He doesn't seem to have a position. We've tried a couple of times to play him as a centre forward on a flat track (Oxford, mostly) and it hasn't gone well. He's missed some absolute stone cold sitters at Oxford and Preston. But then against Hull and Heerenveen he pulls out finishes of a genuinely quality player and against Derby at home last year he was electric.
So, there's something there. I think he gets pushed/hyped in QPR internet land because he's one of Christian's projects, and because he's not Rayan Kolli frankly. Be great for him and the club if that comes to fruition, and I think we'll really find out a lot with this move.

Argeed - hopefully they can find out what his best position is!
For me he's definitely not a striker. His movement in the box and finishing are evidence enough of that. Neither is he a player who should be positioned much deeper. Best position might be a high attacking winger, but he doesn't have the dribbling and other attributes of our other wingers, so should be around 5th in line at most currently |  |

It does beg the question though if the rumous about Kolli (there are always rumours about Kolli) going offski and the lesser spotted Obikwu's 'problems' it does leave us short upfront?

I really rate Bennie. For a just turned 20yo he has shown some really good moments, which in fairness, have been pretty much cameo appearances.
He is younger than both Morgan and Kolli, and I rate him higher than both of them. He just looks physically more robust and an all round better footballer. Longer term, probably a striker.
A massive loan for him, and QPR, sink or swim time. Fingers crossed. | |

I'm really keen to see how Bennie progresses up there - like others, I thought he looked miles off when he first came through but he's come on leaps and bounds, and credit to the coaching staff in the DS and first team there. Would love to see him get a proper run as a central striker and seeing whether he can build on his movement and hold-up play. He's been great in games for the DS, finished really well, and needs to continue that at a higher level. |  | | |

I have huge respect for Daniel Bennie. He is from overseas, going off on loan as a young lad to hopefully better/further his career and come back as one of our first choices on the team sheet eventually and good luck to him
