Ironically my change in heart was caused by his 2 missed chances today. Yes sure he didn't score from 2 presentable chances but the lad was in the right place to miss those chances. Would you not have agreed that Kolli should have gone out on loan for possibly his own career benefit?? We have a pretty good history from sending players out on loan (and some poor experiences too granted) but Chair and Eze are but two examples.

I have huge respect for Daniel Bennie. He is from overseas, going off on loan as a young lad to hopefully better/further his career and come back as one of our first choices on the team sheet eventually and good luck to him
I am biased I admit as I am in the Bennie offers more than Kolli camp, but Kolli could learn a lot from this move. Instead, if as has been suggested refusing to go out on loan |
I wouldn’t claim to know what Kolli did / did not refuse to do.
BUT: there would need to be quite a few injuries for Bennie to get much game time next season if he is a kind of right sided attacking midfielder. So good he goes and gets regular games, works out his best position and either comes back to challenge for a place or develops into someone we can sell. Dundee is a decent club and reflects well on him that they want him.
With Kolli, given his scoring rate but also acknowledging his conditioning issues, he makes a really good super sub / first reserve striker for me. Agree a loan might have been beneficial a year or two ago but he is probably beyond that now. |  | | |

Yes very unlucky not to get at least one assist out of those chances. Only saw the last ten minutes but he looked very direct and decisive compared to some of the other players on the pitch. Would be surprised if he didn’t get more minutes in their next match. |  | | |
