I actually thought he did ok, Bragg's red card was really silly from him and gave the ref no choice I think Azaz was maybe slightly lucky not to get a straight red and I was expecting way more than 5 minutes of extra time, maybe I've forgotten something else? In the context of the game I thought the midfield did pretty well, disciplined, kept their shape and I lost count of the amount of times Flynn Downes was in the right place at the right time to get a foot in, break up attacks and win the ball back Had we not had to play the second half with 10 then I think Scienza and Larin would have had more opportunities to influence the game, it was all about game management when Bragg got sent off

The crowd and atmosphere was odd. maybe due to the sending off. Skates support were surprisingly pretty crap again. ours were okay. just a combo of modern football imo. Fair play to the liquidator song. made a change to the normal garbage coming over the tannoys. great day all round and James Bree day 11-10-2026 will be up there. Thanks you scummerzzzzzzz Keep me in this league beating them will be better than any premier league assault and I take ny hat off to them for that to.

Jack Stephens had a really good game and gave everything. Jander has been out for months so to throw him into a derby would have been reckless. As for Bragg he was playing well but made a mistake which he will learn from. Tonda was spot on today. He read the game well and his decision to put Azaz up front using his experience showed what a good manager he is. We are lucky to have him.

Tony, if our Blobby22 stone knew as much about football as he does about stuffing his face with pies and coke, he may know a little bit about football and weigh less than 22 stone. But he doesn't

BBC Sport's reporting of Saints is very negative. Even their BBC Radio Solent reporter, Adam Blackmore, immediately took Middlesbrough's side against us and was still rambling on with his anti-Eckert agenda this weekend, as well, of course, droning on about how many years it's been since we beat Pompey.. Pity we can't get Rickie Lambert to replace him. He's got more personality, knows more about football and he's more enthusiastic about Saints:

Can't believe it's been so long since we've beaten those c*nts in the league and for one of my group that was the first time he'd seen us beat them in the league home or away. Thought the chapel were f*cking outstanding yesterday no space anywhere with people spilling onto the steps, absolutely in those inbreds faces and had them properly wound up with at least two losing it so badly they had to be moved away by the police Bragg's sending off was justified but i've got no idea why the ref bottled carding the skates so much, also loved the late challenge at the end that didn't get a red, shame he didn't do more damage tbf. The skates support was f*cking woeful too, a few ner ner's, a few blue army's then randomly out of nowhere football in a library. They got absolutely f*cking schooled and looked terrified half the time with what they were getting back at them, also don't think they enjoyed our tribute to alan knight Days like yesterday is what the game is about and it feels so f*cking good to have put those scabbing, myth making c*nts in their place, and even funnier they were forced to stay there till the end. Also their fence rattling after was f*cking pathetic, seing their social media footage and they're filming themselves walking backwards and saying "come on then" is beautiful, they really need to calm down on their myths because it just embarrasses them even more when they come into contact with reality [Post edited 12 Oct 11:16]

Iāve never liked Blackmore. To me he has high jacked his position as Solentās Saints radio reporter to the point where his commentary is more about him than the actual football being played. Itās much the same when he compares the annual Fans Forum. Personally, I would like to see him gone and replaced by Tessum who having played the game at the top level knows what he is talking about and isnāt afraid to criticise us when necessary.

Just because we dont agree with his views sometimes doesn't make him a bad reporter. If you look at commentary's you usually have two people, one is a trained journalist who is skilled in anchoring the coverage, has done the research on the teams and can keep things flowing even when there is a lull in play. The other is usually an ex player who is good at coming in with a few observations throughout the game. Few ex players would be able to do the anchor role without training

I donāt attend away games nowadays due to health issues Nick, whereas I imagine you follow the Saints home and away and thus donāt need to listen to Blackmore on Solent ? Thatās probably why our opinions are so divergent.

I don't listen to it on Solent as im usually at the match, so I don'tknow about his style of commentating although I have heard it sometimes. My point was that few ex players would be ableto do his job as it is one thing to keep the commentary flowing and another to just be chipping in along the way as Jo Tessum is doing

ā I donāt listen to it on Solentā. To be honest Nick, if you regularly did, I suspect that you may well have a different opinion as to Mr Blackmoreās talents.

The last time I listened to one of Blackmore's match commentaries, he spent most of the game moaning about his bad back. It was 'painful' to listen to. I switched on BBC Radio Solent when I was driving to the 2nd leg of the play-off semi-final with Middlesbrough, expecting some pre-match Saints build-up. Instead I got Blackmore acting as Gibbo's mouthpiece. I switched it off. I suppose his one excuse could be that he's a BBC employee, and their reporting on Saints is generally very negative.
