He had a loan spell at Bournemouth a couple of seasons back, so would probably be ok with coming to the south coast.
Wages would probably be an issue though - unless he has been paid up for the season (or a good percentage of it) by West Ham, so can afford to take a pay cut in order to get a contract elsewhere.
Would be OK with getting him on a pay as you play contract, due to his injury record, but would expect to see him end up at a club like Fulham, Rangers or Celtic.

I would consider it.
He was released by West Ham yesterday so no signing fee or even salary to compete with.
He says he's been fit for 8 months but not given game time.
He was a great footballer and looked destined to be one of the best. He's only 28.
I'd be happy if we offered a low wage of say 15 grand a week (low! Get me!), but more as long as he is fit, or actually plays. Would be pretty low risk and if he is fit he could be really good. |  | | |

I’d actually give him a go provided it was on a pay as you play basis. Don’t know why but a complete contrast to him opposed to my thoughts yesterday on Walcott. I’m still scratching my head at why we’ve signed him as it seems most Saints fans seem happy we have - not sure how much of that is because he’s a name/old academy player. Anyway, Yes I’d certainly like to see RH give Wilshere a go until Christmas on pay as you play terms. |  |
