Just watched BoJo interviewed on C4 news
Good god could anyone be anymore unconvincing!?
Contradicting himself, stumbling and humbling answers and banging on about people want a government that performs for them! As if they haven’t been in power for 11 years
How the hell do people fall for his ineptitude
Oh and there is no labour shortage at all that’s just due to lack of investment

He'll definitely score more own goals, but the British public seem to almost forgive him or factor them in, which is probably due to his skill in cultivating his joker image. I suspect millions of the working classes love him, which is why they voted for him, but he is equally despised by the metropolitan elite.
A lot will depend on people in the North seeing a tangible effect on levelling up over the next few years.

It goes both ways, my socialist father in law will always vote labour even if they started shooting people visiting food banks, I don’t get it, it’s not football.

The Xmas party fiasco will definitely hurt Boris, but the British public will remember the bigger issues like getting Brexit done while Labour did everything in their power to abolish the peoples vote, the brilliant success of the vaccine roll-out, and the saving of the British economy with a skillful and far reaching furlough policy.
Dont get me wrong, serious mistakes have been made along the way, but these bigger picture events will prevail.

I voted leave but what success? Its been a balls up from start to finish, no doubt about it the EU has tucked us up, Frost and his team have been a disaster, only duck pond village green people think its been a success, its been an abject failure.

The North lent their vote simply because they were Labour/UKIP voters who wanted Brexit done, after his failure to level up anywhere in the North he'll cost the tories huge chunks of votes for a generation, the North won't forget. Boris Johnson is a chancer and a c**t to boot.

Cognitive dissonance, selfishness, stupidity, snobbishness you name it, I generally find the political intellect of tories lesser than solid Labour voters and by that that I mean they don't come out with one word answers like communist, socialist, strikes or even 3 day weeks (many don't realise this was under the tories not labour).

What a ridiculous generalisation of half the voting public. I realise this site is becoming a left wing echo chamber but you really need to meet more people. For sure there are idiots and smart people in every political party.

Gavin Williamson
Matt Hancock
Dominic Rabb
Boris Johnson
Priti Patel
These people aren't political heavyweights, they're chancers, and the politically ignorant gave them the power to be also ignorant.

With the exception perhaps of the leader, voters can’t decide the cabinet ministers. Also 2 of your list are no longer ministers. Otherwise a fair list with the jury now out this moment on Boris.
But I could make a similar list for the Labour Party eg Rayner, Lammy etc The Lib Dems are worthy of mention.

I think we could put together a cabinet from the Tory supporters on here who could do a better job than the current cabinet.

It used to be a right wing echo chamber so at least it is becoming more balanced now. As for Johnson and his crew, surely there is enough evidence now from those of both sides of the political divide to see that the level of incompetence, cronyism and self interest has reach unprecedented levels. If the people who pull the strings in the Tory party have any sense they will ditch Johnson asap.

I'd take Patel over mad Abbott any day, and Sunak, Gove, Truss and Javid are better than anything Labour has to offer. Although Hancock & co can do one.

I suggest you read about Patel's career before throwing stones at Abbott.
Haven't heard a lot from Gove recently. Wonder why that is?
Javid replaced Hancock and we know what Hancock he got up to.
Truss replaced Raab and we know why that was.
