I have tickets and will still go. There is still plenty to play for.
- Getting 3rd or more likely 4th place is very important to get the 2nd leg at home. The last side to go up finishing 5th or 6th was 2019, and it is almost always clubs that finish 3rd or 4th that get to the final. It is still a very big game.
- It's a new ground for me.
- Final away game of the season, long trek but it's a bank holiday weekend.

I am still going but since I am located near York it is not too onerous for me. I would probably have thought twice if I was still living in Hampshire. The game has lost its meaning now and the frustration will be if Ipswich and Millwall were to lose on Saturday and we could have been in the mix - that sense of being the nearly team again - gallant losers and all that. My bigger fear is that this effects the momentum of the team going into the play-offs. The 2 games either side of the semi-final have proved pivotal, though of course, it is the early season and particularly the Christmas period that has cost us.
I am do not like the PL and I don't miss it and I enjoy the championship but I know not going up could be costly in more ways than one both to our finances, retaining this manager and some of the better players. I think this year the championship was there for us to take if only we hadn't got it so wrong early season and got it right last summer (and we had a chance to when you consider we knew we were going down so early last season). | | | |

The only people who would have needed to buy a Preston ticket to get a Wembley one were those who hadn't been to a single game this season. If a person hadn't been to a single home game this year I would assume there is very little chance they would be bothered to go to f'kin Preston for a lunchtime kickoff.

Don't get to too many away games and have never been to Deepdale, so I may still go.
Fwiw, I think winning this game and maybe then finishing third is still really important. I do have a sense that some of the momentum that has taken us into the playoffs has reduced a little and it would be good to go into the play off games on the back of a good win.
Likewise, I think playing the second leg at home would be a huge advantage, based on the atmosphere that was generated for the WBA game last time. |  |

That West Brom game with the team bus welcome that night and a superb atmosphere, really did help the team win. You don't think playing in front of 35k Boro fans in the 2nd leg, screaming for every decision to go their way, travelling all the way up there will be a hindrance in a one off game? It would be much better for us to be at home in the 2nd leg, and the statistics back this up.
It's very rare that teams finishing 5th or 6th get promoted. Very equal bettween 3rd and 4th, probably because being at home in the 2nd leg helps them. It's a big game Saturday, finishing 4th will massively help us, just as much as playing Arsenal at home helped us beat them. Surely you agree that had we played Arsenal away, it's much more likely we would have gone out? The home advantage is massive in big games. | |

I thought the atmosphere was decent last night and much better than the Blackburn game and Bristol City. The second half in particular was good and when we scored, the Saints fans were loud. The Northam was completely full, they did their bit. We sang stand up if you love the Saints, the whole ground stood and there was an OWTS after we went 2-1 up and it was really loud. At the other end, I hardly heard the Ipswich fans either, only when they scored. | |
