Surely this cannot be real

It genuinely couldn't have been better Tuesday, we've absolutely humiliated them, on and off the pitch, they've made themselves look noddy as f*ck in so many ways and the rest of the country thinks of them as horse botherers.

And the more they double down on their myths the more comes out.

This has to be one of the best weeks as a Saints fan i can remember

Even that's been beautiful, the time he did turn up he proved 100% he hadn't been at the game.

Bit by bit their myths shatter around them and they realise their entire existence is a tissue of lies, and it's f*cking amazing to see.

Absolutely. It's been a crushing week for them. The myths are being painfully exposed whilst the facts have been utterly humiliating.

On Wednesday morning I overtook a battered and beaten Portsmouth Removal Van on the A1 just south of Newcastle. As I passed in my bigger and far superior vehicle it cast an immersive shadow and as our windows met I couldn’t resist waving a four fingered hand at the poor wretched creature behind the wheel. All the ghosts of their fleeting moment of prominence have been exorcised and a whole new generation of bitterness and jealousy for all things Southampton has been sowed. It’s simply wonderful to behold and it’s especially wonderful for our younger fans to grow up with the same sneering confidence of betterness that we did.

They’ve also included their mascot Nelson (#58). What a weird, needy little club they are. Their season is over and it’s not even October yet

One thing I have noticed is that they keep slapping themselves on the back as Hassenhuttl said there was none stop signing, they've ignored the fact he said from both sides, they're also adding Hassenhuttl to the list of people who have praised the FP atmosphere, Henry, Hassnehuttl and Mourninho. Interestingly this praise came after a 1-5 defeat, a 0-4 defeat and a 0-2 defeat So it seems that this praise is more of a patronising pat on the head of the opposition after their team has been hammered.

One thing I genuinely don’t understand is if your lot were so fearless, why didn’t you stay on the train till Ports & Southsea or the Harbour station. Your mob could have walked the short distance through town creating havoc. But you seemed content to be in the police cordon.

Your mob could even have made your own way down to the game. Why didn’t you?

Says the 45 year old on a message board, with no sense of bitterness after his club has finally beaten their rivals at their place after 35 years. That is half a lifetime of waiting. Of course it's only 14 years since you last beat us at your place.

We all believe your little story, the only thing wrong with it is that Pompey fans just shrug and reflect on the fact that Pompey will always have supremacy as the most successful club in the south of England outside London.

We were going to a football game in Fratton, where all of your fans were, you little w..ker, not on a day out in your holiday resort of Southsea or to visit the Mary Rose. Do you think Saints fans wanted to beat up some foreign tourists?

I stopped reading your posts but I've been following this thread and see you are as pathetic as ever. You are an embarrassment to Pompey fans. They must cringe when they see your posts.

By the way, I have visited your naval museum and it's good. You should stick to what you do best, being a holiday resort, because you'll never be a football town. Picking a fence up, abusing a horse, piped noise, 0-4...

But your lot keep going on about getting no grief at Pompey. I have just asked a very simple question.

Like most away fans nowadays for the big games they have the security of police escorts. Like I have said earlier and being honest and trying to be unbiased. The 200-300 in that escort about 100 were up for it. If Scotty had beamed the police up on Goldsmith Ave those lads would have been completely outnumbered and would have been really hurt. My cousins boy was an away fan there and I made sure he knew what was happening so he could avoid the trouble. Having served alongside lads from Soton on the front line, and would do again I hasten to add, we have nothing but mutual respect and for one another and the football is only banter. Perhaps some of those angry people they should take a trip to a front line for a few months and understand what real shit is!

"Says the 45 year old on a message board, with no sense of bitterness after his club has finally beaten their rivals at their place after 35 years. That is half a lifetime of waiting"

That stat would be more impressive if we'd actually played each other a few more times. Another way of looking at is you've only beaten us twice on your own ground in 35 years ... doesn't sound so impressive now does it?
Taking it even further those 2 wins were the only 2 at The Old Girl in 55 years in 10 attempts.
Or knowing how you love a bit of history, you only managed another 2 wins all the way back to 1920 .... 4 wins, 6 draws and 8 Defeats in 99 Years at Fortress Fratton.
