for the first half hour , pool were made to look like amateurs , but after that , they seemed to gel together better . in the second half , pool were as good as forrest , with some half chances , tings look promising for pool this season , not play-offs , but safe in mid -table , well done guys !!!

I just think that the whole pre-match registration news, Pearce's welcome, the pre-season lack of time to gel, players out of position and two great goals undid us. Wish we would have gone for it a bit more but in fairness the result was about right. Not the one sided game that Forest fans made out and enough to feel we won't be the worst team in the league but I hope the Club Secretary is sat at home writing 100 lines of 'I must register players before a game'!!

Started 4-5-1. Forrest applied all the early pressure however we were undone by a speculative long range shot that surprised Lewis and the rebound off the post was put into the goal by Antonio which was far from easy. The second goal was an excellent curling left foot strike by Burke from outside the box. This could have led to an avalanche but the score remained 2-0. This was primarily due to it being hot and the first game of the season as well as Forrest tiring. But we changed formation to a 4-4-2 in the second half and enjoyed more possession and competed far better. I am still seething at the lack of registered players, heads must roll for this calamitous school boy error. A worry that Riga thought is was better to play a midfielder,in Perkins, who does not know how to play left back than a poor left back in Dunne. Overall, some flashes of how Riga wants the team to play which is far better than last year but the fact we are suffering from a lack of pre- season there is no doubt. The fact we didn't ship 5/6 goals is a bonus. Get the signed players registered to add quality to the side otherwise it could be a pointless August. MOTM was McMahon who also captained the side well followed closely by Lundstram. The biggest worry is where will the goals come from? Bizarrely, all the signed unregistered players came and sat with the away fans and were in front of me in the first half including Cubero, Orion twins and agent which was interesting, let's hope the other one signs, three others and Davies. Good game I thought. Two decent passing teams and the game was played at a million miles an hour at times. Key thing for me was the comparison with our first eague One game back in 2010. We were outclassed by Huddersfield that day, and they were a side that we deemed to be our equivalent. We all know Posh are a much more experienced and funded side, but I felt we matched them. They got the break, we didn't. If we play with that intensity and confidence throughout the season, we'll do alright.

Always felt that Peterborough has a goal in them, it was a shame that defensive hesitancy was punished and then the spoiling tactics took over breaking up the rhythm of the game.

Decent Match but as per usual the Villain's end up getting an win because of an referee what played to the Posh crowd

Agree with the others that it was a decent match/performance, but always thought their attack posed a bigger threat. Tanser looks a real find but until we get a proper striker we will struggle to compete. There has been a lot said about GD already but having seen his woeful performances pre-season I was amazed to see him start the game.IMHO he is probably the worst footballer in this league and KH needs to shift him out on loan!!

another 90 mins and no goals or real attempts on goal,We had a sack load of corners but nothing came of them. Another pathetic performance from GD - when will Hill wake up to the fact that he just isn't up to it!!
