Can only Marvel at how different the two halves were. Was praying we wouldn't let another goal in in the first half our 3 centre backs looked lost at sea at times.

But then.....great work by Ralph in changing formation and great to see Simms grab his chance. COYR!

Appalling referee. Despite that and with the help of Kane's many misses in the first half we won. Such a difference in the second half when we could attack freely. A very special win. Have not felt this good at St Marys in a long time. Manager doing an amazing job with our very limited squad. Cardiff who, unlike Swansea last season, do not seem to be throwing in the towel would have found this difficult to take after their win against West Ham. Just one relegation position to worry about. We are very much in touch with Burnley, Brighton and Palace. If we continue like this we will survive.

The PL needs to be careful...the habit of assigning biased refs to top 6 teams is getting more and more blatant and transparent! Beyond that, we Saints fans need to temper our happiness for a second and ask, why this team played like clueless schoolkids in the first half, but like demons in the second? The manager's selections and tactics have made me queazy a number of times this season, and the back 3 tactic is always asking for trouble. When Spurs pressed the middle three in the first half it looked like total chaos! None of the three knew what they were doing. Bednarek transcends the chaos a bit because he's a supremely gifted player, but the other two were shaky to sat the least. This team needs to attack and press forward all the time, because the back 3 cannot cope for 90 minutes. So, play like one big car crash waiting to happen in the first half, but then come out and attack in the second and lo and behold you get a result. In the second half we had no centre forward, but that worked better than having Austin there in the first half. (Austin and Long would surely not be anywhere near this squad if a) we'd bought forward, and b) Obafemi and Ings were fit.) Moral of the story really (and we've seen it in other games), set up defensively, you suck; press and try to play real football and you pit on a better show and maybe get some points.

Great battling performance from the starting eleven...subs were poor, all of them. Really pleased for BBM and the fans who really got behind the team who were proper "up for it"...special mention to the returning Kgosi and Olly Rathbone who both put a shift in backed up by Big Jim and EEL......but the saves from Lonergon kept us in it and really got us the 3 points! Great atmosphere at San Spotty and though we really really road our luck at times we went home happy for a change!

Let's keep giving it a real go!

We should not forget to praise Stuart Armstrong for his efforts today; he was involved in both our goals. He is an intellligent player who offers much in combination play all over the pitch. Makes great runs. Has a sweet right foot. A great signing, really. ´Only` cost around 7 million. Worth every penny, I think.

Ref was totally bias
Long and Austin were junk and should not play again

the rest of the team were fantastic including our fans
massive difference when Sims came on
went expecting to lose, draw would have been a bonus so to get a win was just great.

If ever there was an example of unconscious bias it was in that refereeing! Decisions that would have normally been given against us were again not applied to a top six team. For once we got the luck we've been starved of for so long. Great to see we're up for the fight. Gutted we'll lose the benifits of this feelgood with a three week break before our next match (as we normally do winning before a long break).

Wrong line up. Poor performance, Surely Wszolek must start and Osayi - Samuel should play centre up front.
From the time that happened we looked dangerous and scored a good goal.
