I don't think so aceofthebase, maybe his starting position was wrong because he like most others thought the ball was going to be moved out to the left so he had no chance to reach the ball when it was unleashed. Not on the same scale as the errors of De Gea who let the first goal through his hands and had all the time in the world to position himself for WP's free kick and still couldn't reach it.

The ratings above surely confirm that we had excellent performances all round.
A crying shame about the result, but then again we were playing United - weren't we Ref?

Pulled that one out of the hat, must admit at halftime l thought there's no way back into this game the way we were playing in the first half. But credit to Ralph and the boys a fantastic result as other scores were going against us. We'll done Saints with this spirit we will survive.

Who first said 'a game of two halves'? This game reminded me of games played under RK where we would get the runaround in the first half and then a decisive player/ system change with a victory and the manager's reputation goes sky high.
Spurs must have come out to start the second half thinking the game was already won and they would increase their score. How wrong were they!
I'm no expert so cannot explain our dire first half performance nor the classy play by Spurs but for a Saints fan it was an utter joy to turn this game around.
Symes came on with a point to prove and was electric, he played with no inhibition and his example spread throughout the side. It was a shame that Long was injured but again Armstrong came on and played well creating the goal for Valery. ( Cedric fans time to change allegiance!)
The transformation that is James Ward Prowse continues. He is a tougher player and now plays with a smile. Well done the manager for bringing out the best in him and several other players.
Now let's just salivate over that free kick, what a strike. It's a long time since we had a player that we now expect to score in those situations.
I'm a happy chappy tonight!

Horrible game to watch but three great goals. Perhaps at last Hasenhüttl has realised how useless Austin & Long are and will never pick them again. First half we played with ten men. Sims may be raw but if it's worth persevering with Valery (who had a stinker today but popped up with a cheeky goal to redeem himself a bit) then surely it's worth giving Sims a run, how is he not 100 times better than Austin?

Poor old Oriol seems to have a reputation with referees, not fair that he got booked for his first foul. Good move to take him off at HT as he needs to be fully committed in every situation and on a yellow he can't be.

Thank You Ralph for finally giving Simms a deserved chance and put Elyounouissi out of the squad, deservedly. What an impact Simms had when he came on in the second half. We need his speed.
I have been waiting for a victory like this, coming from behind and winning against a top 4 team.
Referee Kevin Friend tried his best for Tottenham, but, unlucky for him, they lost without him being able to avoid it..
Fantastic to see the same goal scorers from the Man. U. game score again. JWP has finally had his breakthrough in the PL with his free kick ability. Every keeper, every team, every manager will fear him from dead balls outside the box for the next 10 years. I love it.
Well done, Ralph. Well done, Saints.
Bring on Brighton.

Good win today. But that's two referees in a row that have favoured the top six team which is criminal.
