Surprisingly easy win I thought. Ralph got the starting 11 right. The team looked well balanced, and I´m really pleased to see Armstrong earning a deserved starting place. He has a good football understanding and an eye for goal and played well playing between our central midfield and our front players..
Bertrand has increased his level and looks more committed.
Obafemi might be no. 2 after Long and he clearly needs more experience, but he did make some good runs and create space and got both an assist and a half-assist and will gradually improve, I´m convinced.
Ingsy looked sharp and fit.
JWP captained ok. Redmond is an important counter attack player for us, and he proved that again today. Solid, troubleless display from our central defence and an easy day at the office for our goalkeeper. Quiet games from Valery and Hojbjerg, but decent performances throughout the team.
12 points from the next four fixtures (why not?) and life as a Saints supporter will be great again.
COYS.

Awful team clearly rusty felt like pre season game did not help stream dropped 4. Times including all of ET. Stream appeared to be 30 seconds behind as my phone pinged up the goal before I saw it on my laptop. Let’s get the remaining 8 games out of the way and hope for proper football in front of crowds come the autumn.

Fantastic performance, actually pressed which made all the difference, and managed a win against quality opposition with 10 men. (Prowse contributed absolutely f*** all).

A great team performance. Everybody pulled together and put in a shift. Such a change from that dreadful Leicester performance. Well done to Ralph and the squad for turning things around.

Perfect formation, pressing, defending and counter attacking performance vs a very, very good team.
I was worried about Ings, with all his heroic running, getting a muscle injury after an hour, but Ralph did right in not substituting him.
I was also worried about Romeu playing the whole second half on a yellow card, but whose head cleared De Bruynes last gasp free kick, which was clearly a good kick of the ball, headed for goal? Romeus head :-D

Very, very well done to all the players and Ralph and with Adams´ great winner, this was a fantastic match to watch. Never forgotten.

It wasn't a fantastic match to watch, we were being battered for 90 minutes and if Pep hadn't been so arrogant to leave De Bruyne and Foden on the bench to rest them it might have been a different story. Our 'Captain's' performance was particularly forgettable, just jogged aimlessly as usual, didn't contribute a thing.

We weren’t battered for 90 minutes. We played like an away side in the first half and did well. The second half was mostly one way traffic but that was 45 minutes, not 90. Our captain put in a decent shift as did everyone. City are a quality team. To take three points off them was an excellent achievement given how poor we were not so long ago.
