Im surprised no one mentioned Fox, created three of the goals and was a thread with his crossing espcially from corners all afternoon

Good performance. We had to dig in and battle much more than the Bury game. Jason keenedy was fantastic - tackling, energy, passing. Barry-Murphy rarely hit a bad pass and Jonah was Jonah. Even Thompson did ok when he came on and I am not a Joe Thompson fan.

Also, I honestly think we have two quality fullbacks at the moment. Widdowsen is quality and if there is a chance we could sign Darby permanently then I think theboard should be exploring it.

Just missing that 20/25 goal a season player.

I would like to say that this season has been good whilst it lasted.

But it hasnt been.

Taarabt can keep soft footing his shots on target for ever more & he still wont score

I didnt look forward to today and hated every minute of it, from the kick off you could just sense that there was going to be one organised outfit on the pitch and it wasnt going to be us. It must be a very difficult job for a manager to take charge of a struggling team and unless your name is Martin O'Neil it will take time to get them used to new methods which is possibly why Tony Fernandes should have had more faith in NW. But Mark Hughes is our manager and obviously he might run out of time before he can influence a team shockingly lacking in confidence. To me we seem to play too deep inviting the opposition to pressurise us into giving the ball away and the biggest culprits today and have been for the last few matches, not that than any of the players were sure footed, were Barton and SWP, there is no direct play and nobody wants to take on any resposibility for having a go at actually trying to score its all a bit ' After you Claude ' I had my head in my hands more today than the whole of the season and it just seems that none of the players are on any sort of the same wavelength with any other and where do they go from here. Diakites sending off just highlights the fact that football is getting ever nearer to a non contact sport, however three players missing three games for us at this stage and with all the big guns coming here in the next few weeks doesnt look good for us. I feel incredibly despondant and just pray that the three teams below us keep playing as badly as us and we might just escape.

I feel you pain! I think so many of us feel just like you do.

When the end comes and it surely will, lets just write this season off a stiff lesson and as long as we learn from it and make amends next season, then so be it. We will come back better and stronger. Then the Premiership team of 2013-14 will make us all proud.

Curently though the reality is that we have a team of individuals that are A) playing as individuals B) lacking any confidence and C) many of them are performing at maybe 10% of what was expected.

The summer clear out should include Barton and SWP as since they arrived we have actually got worse. Hopefully we can keep hold of Zamora and Cisse, who should both put the Championship on fire. Likewise Diakite will shine once he gets used to English footie.

Assuming we keep the likes of Onuoha, Traore and Fauline (and of course Hughes) then maybe we just need a new Goalie and a new left back ?

what happened today was exactly what i thought would happen

new player just in from africa where they can still tackle for fun thrown in at the deep end in the premiership,6 fouls in 30 minutes and goodbye to another 3 points

teams dont have to beat us we beat ourselves again!

Themodfather echoes all our thoughts at the moment. These guys are embarrassin the Blue & White Hoops week in week out. Why didn't Mark Hughes remove Diakite when it was inevitable he was heading for an early shower? Incredible that we are still outside the bottom 3 and a healthier goal difference than our relegation rivals. Circumstances will change for us I'm sure," Hughes told BBC Sport after the match. I really hope u r right, Sparky. Come on u R's!!!!

We looked like a Championship side playing a very competent, well organised Premiership side.

I think we are simply out of our depth.
