Gripping match. Totally proud of this team and it’s been a good few years since I last felt that.

Long overdue thumping of a very poor team.
Well done and time to have a day off.

Good to see Cedric back in the fold even if in the wrong position. Whatever has gone on at Staplewood we cannot afford to have a player like him left out just because the coach has some hang ups about haircuts and iPhones.

Players seem to be getting fitter and lasting longer as well.

Must assume Lemina has an injury for Plodder to get a second game in a row. When you see a kid like Valery take the ball off Hazard cleanly you are bound to wonder how on earth Ploddy has worked his way through nigh on 200 PL games without once ever having made a clean tackle on anybody.

Good team performance and a good point. Only weak link was Prowse[Ploddy] who needs to be sold.

Only weakness was Cedric who played out of position ( more suited to the bench). Yoshy was fantastic and proved what a great international player he is. The whole team played well and with tremendous enthusiasm
The star of our side though was Gunn who had a dream debut. He seemed to be always in the right position and was not afraid to leave his line, without him we would have lost.
The sub of Long I thought on consideration was good, he is a player with tremendous energy that will chase lost causes and that was exactly what we needed. A goal always looked unlikely but we did try and I'm certain that Chelsea were a little anxious.

(Austin and Stephens only played a few minutes and don´t get ratings this time :-) )

We re-collected the point we lost against West Ham. And a clean sheet against a free scoring team. Great result.
Congratulations to Angus Gunn for his fine debut.
I hope we can follow it up by getting another point(s) away from home vs Leicester.
But before that, I want us to progress in the FA cup vs Derby next saturday.
I love good cup runs, and I think many Saints fans do. We were in a final in the 16/17 season and a semi-final in the 17/18 season. We are out of the league cup competition this season, unfortunately, (because of Gabbiadini´s concentrationless, bad penalty kick), but let´s have another great run in the FA cup.
COYS!

To many kids. The bench was to weak this game showed why we need new players. It was once said you never win anything with kids.

Captain Crap. JWP was one of the worst today. After this performance Elyounoussi , Prowse, Stephens and Vestergaard need to be sold. The kids that played today are not ready to step up to the first team. Money needs to be spent on 3 or 4 good new players. Just look at what little Bournemouth have done in the transfer market already.
