Saints primary tactic in the last three games has been pass-move-neat run, turn-pass, lovely chip, nice take-down, look up, PASS DIRECTLY TO OPPOSITION PLAYER IN THE BOX, over and over and over again.

It's simply not entertaining to watch - it's like, I don't know, a Justin Bieber concert - you know everyone on stage is a highly trained and well-paid professional, all the notes are exactly right, but the end result is infinitely predictable and really irritating.

Koeman has to get the lads in front of some goal posts at staplewood and have them spend two solid weeks just blasting the ball into the net.

GROUNDHOG DAY! Lots of pretty football, more possession that I can remember and yet no product. To be fair to the team, the sheer mass of W Ham bodies in the way of goal meant that it was difficult to get the ball over the line but nevertheless we the supporters pay good money to see some shots on goal. Now I know that Sky regards us as mere unpaid (actually paying) extras to give a backdrop to their television broadcasts but we do have to be thrown a bone occassionally. Come on Saints, start scoring again!

Disappointing again (as last week with Swansea). Pelle's new deeper role means he will be even less productive than he's been (plus he definitely is out of form--he doesn't even seem to be able to win a ball anywhere on the park, let alone find the net!). Elia achieved nothing yesterday, nor did Tadic when he came on. And on that brief showing Djuricic looks like-for-like with them. Only Mane looked likely to score, and he was subbed. Defensively we were once again very solid, obviously, but the current set-up isn't going to score you many goals...because if the top 3 can't score , nobody else can! None of the midfield trio knows how to score and of the three only Davis even has any creative ability. JWP is more creative but he is maybe even more woeful a sniper than anyone on the team. Something missing in the midfield right now while the front three are ineffectual.

Thank you Joey for reverting to type. Other than Caulkers assist for their first goal the remaining 10 men & subs were immense. Furlong very impressive

Once again we let in a cruel very very late goal. Its our Achilles heal.

I'm very positive about the remaining matches

It's starting to sound like a stuck record with two sides. The A side is called For Christ's Sake SHOOOOOT! The B side is a sad melody entitled We Always Get Shit Refs. I thought the bad decisions were supposed to even themselves out over a season. Not so. Three strong penalty appeals denied, two of them nailed on. The one in the first minute was almost identical to the one won by Harry Kane for Spurs against West Ham. Why didn't we get one? Kevin Friend's atrocious performance aside, we still can't have a go on goal unless we've passed it at least 23 times. A very depressing afternoon not made any better by the sad treatment of Lallana. I know he left the club under a cloud and he regrets the way he handled his transfer but let's remember how well he played for us for so many years and what a big part he played in our success last season. Lovren can go to hell but Lallana did well for Saints and should be remembered as a major past player for the club. I will not boo him and I applauded him off.

Yes, the referee was awful, the weather was awful, they got a lucky goal and an unstoppable goal BUT that doesn't answer the same problem we have had for weeks - a nervous unwillingness to strike when within shooting distance of goal and a preference for passing backwards when attack would be more productive. Pele needs to spend less time complaining and more time getting on with if. We all know the referee made an awful decision but neither he nor the linesman are going to change thier minds. Get on with it, you are being made enough money for heaven's sake!

Some positives from the game - Vic Wanyama was magnificent in midfield as always, Yoshida is a model of calm composure in defence and it was great to see Clyne getting forward as he used to do. On a level playing field on another day, who knows.....

Abysmal refereeing sapping confidence , coupled with our inability to finish ,causing me to almost have a heart attack .. again.
Much like the last few home games .
