Game of 2 halves. For all that was good in the first half, it was a complete reversal in the 2nd.

A great battling and competitive performance in the first half, with some well taken goals and some decent, calm, non-panic passing.

2nd half we were just so complacent and thought we had already won it. Time and time again, we let Wolves into the game with stupid errors and ultimately gave them the momentum to go on and win it.

The team is too flat, one dimensional and predictable. By simply putting Traore up top with Jiminez, Wolves created panic. Cedric and Bert had done well to stop him, but as soon as he had to be picked up by Bed and Stephens, he had freedom, or we put 2 on him and left Jiminez unmarked. (Just like West Ham and Antonio !!)

Don't know why Stephens dived in and I though it was prob a pen.

For the last goal, we tried a silly flick on the edge of their box, lost possession, 2 passes later they had broke away, crossed and scored !! Then it was hoof it to the unimpacting subs - but we did create 1 chance in 6 minutes of injury time - but Hour blazed high and wifr

The ref was a Prem Virgin though - 1st Prem game today and it showed. Doherty should have got a yellow for handball, Long got pushed all day, they gained at least 10 yards every throw on, but reprimanded Bert and their keeper must have had 5 or 6 warning about time wasting but no card.
Perhaps VAR should have backed the ref for the pen, as he gave a corner ? VAR backed the ref with Alderweirald's hand ball after all !!

Still we didn't deserve anything and I hope it is back to business away from home on Tuesday. It had better be, as that was all PEH was saying on Solent on the way back. Good that we have a chance so soon to show what we can do and make amends. Let's see then!!

Phew! Cracking game as Rs went toe to toe with a quick passing, hard pressing talented Leeds team. The Leeds player's first touch and the speed at which they then moved the ball was phenomenal, often whisking the ball off a QPR player and tearing away before we noticed we'd lost the ball. But for all their pressure they hardly tested Kelly, penalty apart. A series of poor decisions in, not the final third, but the final sixth let them down.

Also standing in their way was a QPR defence playing as well as they have done all season. I thought Hall, Masterson + Wallace were magnificent and Kane only a little behind them. And of course we had in our two superstars, Eze and BOS, players who could threaten and get beyond their marker whenever they had a chance. Samuel got shamelessly little protection from the ref, who seemed keen to make amends for his error on the goal by giving Leeds free kicks whenever they asked. Please Sir, could we have a free kick here?

Although everyone seems to agree the goal should have been disallowed, it's a great shame if accidental, unintentional contact of ball to arm equals a free kick when you are a striker.

And surely after a couple of commanding performances from Masterson (apart from once letting Bamford get away) we should keep him at the KPF and play him regularly? His positioning was excellent, he's good in the air and he can bring the ball forward more effectively than Hall or Leistner.

Very hard to pick out one player as MotM, but I'd be inclined to give it to young Connor.

Hasenhuttl Admits There Is No Need To Panic Buy Now are you sure. Stephens gave away another penalty he was back to his old ways today. Why does Prowse never get taken off when he in not playing well? Armstrong has played well in the last few games but still gets taken off. Make no mistake we need new players in Defence this month.

Sandy - Armstrong was taken off because he was so ineffective in the 2nd half. He wasn't involved as much and much of the play bypassed him.
Process could also have been subbed - particularly as he was on a yellow.
The problem was that none of the subs had any sort of impact on the game. We just hoofed it up top and hoped. Djenepo ran about a bit, pulled people back and decided to go on the same wing as Boufal. Boufal himself slipped over a bit and missed a great chance to nick a point at the end.

We had 2 chances early in the second half to make it 3 - 0 but didn’t take them, think it was Ings and long. Still playing well up to that point, unfortunately we didn’t and would have killed the game off. The rest they say is history, on to the next one.

Agree we had 5 really good chances in the second half. Couldn't finish.

Unfortunately having now seen it again it was definitely a penalty. The other 2 goals were poorly defended. Players being left unmarked or no challenge put in.

So fault lies at both ends after a really good first half.

The Wolves fans put us to shame with the amount of noise they were making. 2 nil and we cocked it up indeed.

Why Jiminez was allowed to lie on the floor for 3 minutes escapes me.

Bad day at the office after recent weeks. Hopefully the jitters won't set in.

Agree with Geoff . Masterson was my mom. Don't really see how Kelly got it , mainly for saving a pen which he stupidly gave away. Oh and Phillips is a grade 1 thug . Should get a 6 game ban for that foul .

Yet another very poor and biased referee. I have said it before , unfortunatley we do not have a whiner or winer who gets in the refs ear. Most other teams do and with these poor refs it pays dividends as the refs are so weak they eventually give in.

Two things learnt 1, Jack Clarke is NOT the Messiah . 2. Kelly will be the regular goalie for the forseable future. ..
